Prayer

If you don’t know what to pray,

but

someone comes to your mind…

instead of

worrying about them…

pray the Word

over them.

God hears our prayers – God comes to His Word.

Ephesians 1:15-23

In GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Paul’s Prayer for the Ephesians
I, too, have heard about your faith
“___”
in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people . For this reason I never stop thanking God for you.
I always remember you
in my prayers.

I pray that the glorious Father,

the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,

would give you

“___”

a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you

come to know Christ better.

Then you will have deeper insight.

You will know the confidence that He calls you to have and the glorious wealth that God’s people will inherit.

“___”

You will also know

the unlimited greatness of His power

as it works with might and strength for us,

the believers.

He worked with that same power in Christ

when He brought Him back to life

and

gave Him the highest position in heaven.

He is far above all rulers, authorities, powers, lords, and all other names that can be named, not only in this present world but also in the world to come.

God has put everything under the control of Christ.

He has made Christ the head of everything

for the good of the church.

The church is Christ’s body

and

completes Him

as He fills everything

in every way.”

Ephesians 3:14-21

In GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Paul Prays That God Would Strengthen Christians

“This is the reason I kneel in the presence of the Father

from whom all the family in heaven

and on earth receives its name.

I’m asking God to give you

“___”

a gift from the wealth of His glory.

I pray that He would give you

“___”

inner strength

and

power through His Spirit.

Then Christ will live in you through faith.

I also pray that love may be the ground into which you

“___”

sink your roots

and

on which you have your foundation.

This way, with all of God’s people you will be able to understand how wide, long, high, and deep His love is.

“___”

You will know Christ’s love,

which goes far beyond any knowledge.

I am praying this so that you

“___”

may be completely filled with God.

Glory belongs to God,

whose power is at work in us.

By this power He can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.

Glory belongs to God in the church

and

in Christ Jesus

for all time and eternity!

Amen.”

Colossians 1:9-11

In GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

“For this reason we have not stopped praying for you

“___”

since the day we heard about you.

We ask God to fill you

with the knowledge

of His will

through every kind of spiritual wisdom and insight.

We ask this so that you

“___”

will live the kind of lives that prove you belong to the Lord.

Then you

“___”

will want to please Him

in every way

as you grow in producing every kind of good work by this knowledge about God.

We ask Him to strengthen you

“___”

by His glorious might

with all the power

you need

to patiently endure

everything with joy.”

Philippians 1:3-11

In GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Paul’s Prayer for the Philippians

“I thank my God for all the memories I have of you

“___.”

Every time I pray for all of you, I do it with joy. I can do this because of the partnership we’ve had with you in the Good News from the first day you believed until now.

I’m convinced that God, who began this good work in you

“___,”

will carry it through to completion on the day of Christ Jesus.

“___”

You have a special place in my heart. So it’s right for me to think this way about all of you.  All of you are my partners. Together we share God’s favor, whether I’m in prison

or

defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

God is my witness that, with all the compassion of Christ Jesus, I long to see every one of you.

I pray that your love will keep on growing because of your knowledge and insight. That way you

“___”

will be able to determine what is best

and

be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.

Jesus Christ will fill your lives with everything that God’s approval produces. Your lives will then bring glory and praise to God.

:)
