On 21 years…

He does.

He REALLY does…

works ALL things out for good = Romans 8:28.

It’s been 21 years since my Dad died.

21 years.

An adult life.

I was 23 when he died

I forgot my birthday the next year…

was it two…

Death. Sudden death is hard,

ALL of life’s challenges are difficult.

I need to live the next 21 years

I survived,

I learned,

sometimes re-learned…

I explored.

I learned to hope, believe & trust.

I let Him LOVE me.

He’s a good God.

He’s faithful.

On “The One Who Sees Me”

Kandi J. Wyatt

Review originally published on GoodReads:

“Read in just a few days. Liked it from the start & found myself thinking about it… the characters each day.

I like how she told a well-known story from a different perspective & in a different setting/time. Reminded me of a Max Lucado story. Like looking up a verse in a different translation… increases my understanding.

Thank you,
I look forward to reading more of your books!”

On “Last Year’s Resolution”

Robert Lampros

I actually met the author several years back @SLFC.

I had no clue he was a writer,

I’m glad he does… it helped me.

Here’s my review of the book (originally posted on Goodreads):

Robert is a beautiful person. He has a humble and gentle soul, and it comes through in his writing.
The tempo was different than what I usually read,

I came to really enjoy it, even look forward to it… which was surprising to me as the topic of the book has haunted me from childhood. Yet, before I finished, I realized God had worked all things out for good (Romans 8:28),

I was ready and willing to have a baby,

even if the end comes.

Thank you Robert for helping to set me free from an old fear.
Here’s some quotes from the book that stuck out to me:
“You woke me up,

when I didn’t even know I was sleeping,

the waking was sweeter than my sleep.”
“… it’s really just a stage,

what each of us does here,

our work,

our families,

our dreams,

the best part of our lives,

that’s what our true homes are going to be like…

“Reminds me of the end,

God’s going

come back.”
I read this book last year,

for the tardiness of the review.
I am going to re-read it,

I’ve been thinking about it a lot the last few days.
I look forward to reading more of Robert’s works.

On a walk in the morning mist

It feels like spring,

it doesn’t smell like spring.

Thus it is not spring,

there r still weeds to be pulled. They have been there over a month,

I shall wait till it’s 9 degrees warmer to garden

in 5 more hours.

With age does come wisdom

patience with no desire to feel the cold.

There’s trees to be moved

others to be trimmed. Bushes too.

Coop cleaned

organized (for the hubby).

Pondering his desire for baby-chicks… more meat for the freezer by fall … more tears for me.

No more free deer as CWDx3 in our county last fall…😑🦌

on handkerchiefs

a small piece of linen, silk, or other fabric, usually square, and used especially for wiping one’s nose, eyes, face, etc.” –

A friend reminded me of these while we 2nd-hand shopped over a decade ago.

I still use ’em.

Cotton is always my fav fabric.

Sooooo much better than napkins – especially when experiencing a moment with God on a commute!

when I got my new smartphone, well… let’s just say, I’m not ready for one of those military-tested impact cases yet,

I use a handkerchief in my purse to ‘cushion’ it…

until I NEED it…
