They always go home…
“isn’t that why Noah used them from the ark” = aaahh words of wisdom from my elder brother as I read the article below to him.
“researchers at Baylor College identified one component of the birds’ internal GPS when they showed that their brains contain a specialized group of cells that measure the strength and direction of the Earth’s magnetic field, serving as a compass.”
Recently my family was given one for free.
Isn’t the Lord amazing!
My Mom wants to learn how to play, and I’ve even seen my brother playing it!
My Mom’s Mom use to play music by ear, on the guitar… but I don’t want calluses on my fingers … so this has been GREAT!
Music makes me feel more alive = I was beyond tired last night, but playing the piano energized me = same thing happened this morning, been feeling, well negative emotions – and – out of it mentally and physically… just plain tired & grumpy… but once again, the keys ringing out their tunes, made me well better = happier = energized = more coherent.
Thank You Lord for blessing me.
Psalm 3:21b God’s Word Translation:
“A righteous person is generous and giving.”
“He is always generous and lends freely.”
by Sophie Kinsella
My boss’ favorite author – totally a hoot! Lookin’ forward to reading some of her other creations:
-Shopaholic & Sister
-Shopaholic Ties the Knot
My boss has read all of her work, but these are the two that peak my interest most… but first I have to finish a few projects at home… maybe there will be a snow day, sooner than later!
Here are some bits from ‘The Undomestic Goddess’ …
these quotes pretty much sum up the theme of the book:
-“Mum, I’ve learned a different way to live. I do my day’s work, and I finish – and that’s it. I’m free. I don’t need to take paperwork home. I don’t need to have my BlackBerry switched on 24/7… I can make weekend plans, I can go and sit in the garden for half and hour with my feet up… I don’t have that constant pressure anymore. I’m not stressed out. And it suits me.”
-“Life’s a pretty resilient thing, it turns out.”
-“They knew they belonged together and that was more important than anything else in life.”

Driving the other day, and I thought about what the Bible says about persistence.
I know several people in the process of finding another job…
possibly this is just an opportunity from God, helping them to learn persistence.
I know for me, God uses people.
I like people – a lot.
I use to go to the mall to watch people. I like their behaviors. I find them interesting. Back then though, I didn’t really want to talk to any of them. Just watch. So God started… developing persistence within me… with people… through conflict. I don’t like conflict, especially with someone I love.
It’s been over 10 years since that training began, and I’m thankful for it. Persistence is necessary in relationships.
For others, jobs are important…
perhaps this is why some have more issues with jobs – an opportunity to learn the lesson of persistence.
I hope this encourages you to stretch your muscles in persistence… to continue.
Remember, it’s God’s job to complete the work he has begun in us… Philippians 1:6 – He loves you, and he wants the right things for you at the right time.
Enjoy the experience!
Temptation is like an itch.
Feels like something you have to do…
hard to ignore.
Ever-present in your mind.
I learned last Wednesday at a doctor’s seminar (They let me come!-I am so blessed!!!) – that that’s the same way kids with Tourettes describe a tic: physical/vocal – like an itch… they can only suppress it for so long.
They have Rx to help kids with Tourettes.
God has the Word to help Christians with temptation
– & –
the awesome power of the Holy Spirit!
Ever feel guilty during the acting out of a temptation… well, that’s the Holy Spirit trying to help you! He’s here to convict us of sin. Stopping and going the other way, running if necessary (remember Joseph and his boss’ wife).
God wants to help.
Itch = dictionary.com = to have a desire to do or get something.
Temptation = biblegateway.com = Amplified Bible = Genesis 39:10 = She spoke to Joseph day after day, but he did not listen to her, to lie with her or to be with her.
