On thinking

Driving and realized I was wanting to eat (often) because I’ve been thinking about food a lot lately (been baking)…

my waist line is being affected!

Then I remembered what God says about meditating = wants us to think about His Word!!!

He’s so smart.

He knew whatever we would be thinking about, we would want! I wanted to eat… sometimes non-stop! Even when I knew I wasn’t hungry!

If I get distracted, and busy doing work, then I don’t want to eat.

So smart!

Earlier this year, I hung a photo of a beautiful horse in my kitchen to enjoy, but I ended up wanting a horse. So simple = put before me = I want. So, I took the photo down… I don’t even have the time for a cat/dog, much less a horse! But it made me realize I need to be cautious about what I look at…

God’s got a plan = stay focused on Him and all will be well!

Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 104:34

May my meditation be sweet to Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the Lord.

Psalm 119:97

Oh, how love I Your law! It is my meditation all the day.

on mice and ants…

Is the heat scaring them inside?

I watched ants and a wasp go after water droplets from the hose … is that what they have been looking for everyday? Water.

It’s really bad out there. God. Please send more rain. Thank You for the rain you sent today.

Caught a mouse today…

this week I discovered my chocolate stash had been found… he went after the expensive stuff the first day.

Smart mouse.

When he didn’t leave the next bar alone, well, war was on.

Baited every trap with chocolate. Caught him within a day. Amazing.

Anyone know why the belly of the mouse, and the belly of the geese are gray this year instead of white? Is this something to do with the heat/the drought? Curious.

on 175 years

Join the celebration in Alton, IL on Saturday, 7-21-12 for lots of activities including cruises, music and food!

Named for it’s founder’s son. Rufus Easton thought the site would be a great steamboat landing… watch re-enactors share it’s rich history… including Abe Lincoln… and the world’s tallest man, Robert Wadlow (8feet-11inches).
