“And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!’ So God granted him what he had requested.” – I Chronicles 4:9-10
He had a bad name. Pain. He didn’t want to be remembered by his name… as a pain.
He became the leader of his tribe.
I think the biggest part: God granted him what he had requested.
Scripture from the book: “The Prayer of Jabez” by Wilkinson – Which used NKJV of the Bible.
Recently, like the last month or so, I’ve been studying Colossians, listening to it, re-reading it ( I like other translations), thinking about what it says, especially: Colossians 3:12-17
The character of the New Man… new creation in Christ:
Put on tender mercies,
bearing with one another,
forgiving one another,
let peace of God rule in your hearts,
called to one body,
Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Whatever you do in word or deed,
do ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Earlier tonight, I went through my links… weird to me how quickly things change online…
anywho, the GOOD news:

I like to give gifts… stuff…
I like to give AGAIN, especially to those who well, seem grateful. Methinks that’s why we are told to be thankful. If we like it, imagine how much God likes it. If he wants our GOOD, just like we do when we love someone… how could we NOT trust him to work everything out for good = and that’s why HE fixes our screw ups too!
Recently, I discovered that a local cafe has ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT pancakes, several varieties… fruit… chocolate… Hot maple syrup & different berry-flavored syrups.
The chef had me at: “My personal recipe…”
If you like coffee, they have a bottomless cup deal for that too.
$6.50 Saturday mornings… starts at 8am and goes till 11am.
They also have several other breakfast options… which a few peeps tried out when we were there last. No one was disappointed, and they all want to go back! We’re thinkin’ early October, if you are interested in joining us, let me know.
The Chefs have a background in Country Clubs. They like to make everything from scratch.
I had a feast for lunch from there before munchin’ on the pancakes, and it was AMAZING too!

Question for ya:
Should I change my MAIN email address?
For the last year or so it has been used as a spam-deal… I change my password, but after a few months, I get spam from myself. It’s irritating, but I’ve had this particular email address for 10 years…
Open to suggestions/comments… if you would rather email me use the one on this site or the one you have… I have several, sad, but true.
This made me smile:
Lame excuses Not accepted:
I had to polish my iguana!
My toaster is infected and I am worried it will spread to my other appliances.
My cat’s therapist advised against it.
I was abducted by a giant parakeet named Spot.
I was busy counting my carbs.
I was busy working on my drier lint collection.
It’s OK to just say, “Thanks, but no thanks”
I got this on an email invite from a friend. Oh, …and as someone who sends out quite a few invites by email myself, please REPLY to emails if you want follow-up emails about the event.
