a wise women once said,
“choose not to be offended”
I had an opportunity today, and choose the higher path… forgiveness is a choice.
Then I found these juicy tidbits on Biblegateway:
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
It can be hard
it is exciting…
full of new wonders.
Give it a try.
I’m not a freak for ’em,
but they are good flicks.
I found these fun links on a friend’s site:
My Hobbit name:
Zelda Grubb of Little Delving
My Elven name:
I got this from one of my past Bible study leaders.
When the disciples fed the 5,000, their odds were over 400 to one – and that was just counting the men in the crowd. The numbers were probably a lot higher when you include women and children.
The point is, you have to think bigger than yourself.
The goal must be greater than the resources at hand.
Otherwise, it won’t be done in faith.
If you can do it on your own, then you don’t need God’s help.
But God is most glorified when we trust him for impossible things,
not just the easy things,
not just the manageable things,
not just the things you think you are ready for,
but the things you know are impossible without God’s hand.
You’ll never know what God can do through you
until you come to the end of yourself
– until you face a hungry crowd with only a sack lunch.
That’s when you’ll see just how big God is.”

This is connected to the entry, “on love” and is not finished,
(amp version… I love all the extra descriptive adjectives…)
For the rest,
whatever is true,
whatever is worthy of reverence
and is honorable and seemly,
whatever is just,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely and lovable,
whatever is kind and winsome and gracious,
if there is any virtue and excellence,
if there is anything worthy of praise,
think on and weigh and take account of these things
(fix your minds on them).
I’ve had several lately,
feel incredibly blessed.
God is so good.
Maybe…if you are lucky, I will tell you more later.
Sounds like lion,
is actually the name of God’s house.
The house that He is building…with living stones…that’s you and I…and we are the subcontractors.
Isn’t that cool! I soooo want to do a study on Zion now!
(Over 150 scriptures in the KJV alone…my, my…this could take awhile.)
Look back for more…I’ll be including ALL my notes from this last weekend’s “Event” at SLFC from the John Bevere sessions. Life-changing and intense.
